Olivasdosul History

The liquid gold that sprouts from centuries-old olive trees.

We are a typically Gaucho agroindustry that employs high technology and knowledge in order to produce the best and purest extra virgin olive oil in the country, our “Liquid Gold”.

We started activities in 2006 in the city of Cachoeira do Sul (RS), with the implantation of a 12-hectare orchard with seedlings of Spanish origin.

After much study, partnerships with research institutes and knowledge exchange on trips to Europe, we were able to improve our olive tree cultivation techniques.

Years later, we were recognized as the first extra virgin olive oil marketed in Brazil and, in 2011, the first to appear in Flos Olei – a catalog that brings together the best 500 olive oils in the world.

Currently, in addition to the 25-hectare orchard in Cachoeira do Sul, Olivas do Sul also owns another orchard with approximately 100 hectares in the city of Encruzilhada do Sul, which should go into production in 2020.

In addition to producing olive oil with 100% fresh olives, our orchards still carry the beauty of centenary olive trees, with approximately 130 years old, that form the “Alameda das Centenárias” of the Pátio das Oliveiras property, in Cachoeira do Sul.

Aside from the oil extraction activities, we are also dedicated to the promotion of olive growing in Brazil through the sale of seedlings, technical assistance and representation of machinery for pruning, harvesting and extraction of olive oil.
