best olive oils store
Segorbe olive oil has a new reason for pride and celebration. In early April, the winners of a demanding competition were announced in a press conference in Dubai, the Dubai Olive Oil Competition, where more than 1,400 brands of the best extra virgin olive oils were showcased. Among the award-winning oils is the EnVerde olive oil produced by the Segorbe Agricultural Cooperative, which has been honored with the silver medal.
A prestigious jury, composed of internationally renowned tasters, has recognized the impeccable collective work carried out by the Segorbe cooperative, reflected in an extra virgin olive oil that combines the smoothness and delicacy of the Serrana Espadán olive with the power and vigor of the green olive, resulting in a balanced and intensely fruity extra virgin oil.
With this new award, the EnVerde brand expands its already extensive international accolades, including medals in New York, Los Angeles, the United Kingdom, Jerusalem, and Mendoza, as well as being featured in respected olive oil guides such as Flos Olei (Italy) and Der Feinschmecker (Germany). At the national level, EnVerde boasts the title of "Best Spanish extra virgin olive oil" in the Verema Awards and has won the prize for best oil in the Valencian Community on several occasions.
Julián Calpe, the president of the Segorbe Cooperative, describes EnVerde oil as "a single-variety early harvest oil obtained from a special selection of green and fresh Serrana Espadán olives, just after their harvest in the Espadán and Calderona natural parks." He adds that "EnVerde is a first cold-pressed extra virgin oil and one of the oils with the lowest acidity on the market." He also highlights that to ensure its optimal preservation, "Segorbe Nostrum EnVerde extra virgin olive oil is stored in stainless steel tanks with inert atmosphere and temperature control," so that "consumers can enjoy it in perfect condition."
