ASKRA The Valley of Muses

We started "building" a strong brand name, "ASKRA THE VALLEY OF MUSES", as a direct reference to the place and the name of the area inspired by the face and the meaning of the muse.

We created our logo - trademark for the exportable products of the company LYMPERIS ESTATE, based on the meaning and the face of the Muse for the main product of the company, the Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Coming from a family with strong ties to olive oil and its trade, Lymperis Estate was founded in order to cover the whole procedure: from cultivating our olive trees to extraction with modern, ecofriendly procedures and bottling this top quality product, here in our birthplace, the homeland of Muses.
Being the fourth generation, we decided to continue cultivating the family olive trees and upgrade the past family resources by using the most modern olive mill equipment, aiming at extracting olive oil in its best form. Our goal is to preserve all the natural elements of the olive and produce an olive oil rich in polyphenols and nutrients. Therefore, we have chosen to plant more than 4000 new olive trees the last 3 years along with the cultivation of our existing olive groves, all with the most natural methods.

ASKRA tastes olive oil every year with highly experienced testers and really choose the best to make ASKRA Olive Oil. In the selection process, two stages of analysis must be passed so that olive oil is extraordinary.

ASKRA

Ascra or Askre was a town in ancient Boeotia which is best known today as the home of the poet Hesiod. It was located upon Mount Helicon, five miles west of Thespiae. According to a lost poetic Atthis by one Hegesinous, a maiden by the name of Ascra lay with Poseidon and bore a son Oeoclus who, together with the Aloadae, founded the town named for his mother.

Our superior quality EVOO is made solely from megaritiki olives selectively handpicked in Viotia, with cold extraction and no chemical means used to extract their finest juices. With the utmost care and the highest respect to our traditional values and the miracles of the Greek nature itself, we secure the excellent quality of our olive oil from the harvesting of the olives until its consumption. Combining the traditional farming methods with all the recent scientific knowledge, we produce our Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Olive oil was considered even from ancient times as sacred and divine. The reason was because of its numerous quality characteristics that contribute to a healthier living anda healthier self.
Olive tree symbolizes the wisdom, power, purity and perseverance. A holy tree that remains intact even after decades, producing the same treasure: the extra virgin olive oil.
Our olive oil is monovarietal. Its variety is Megaritiki.
Megaritiki as a variety is not that well-known even though it is a high quality product with special quality characteristics.

-intense fruitiness and pungent aftertaste in a good balance.

-fine and delicate aroma with fruity hints of Soft Red Fruits, banana and fresh herbs.

-Bitterness in a delicate balance, without masking the taste of the other products. It is mild and it can be consumed by anybody without hesitation that it may be too bitter or too intense. It highlights the best of each plate
