La Gramanosa was born 30 years ago, the fruit of a passion for the olive tree, which rewards its caretakers with a highly prized product at each harvest: its best olives.

Mauricio Botton, grandson of the founder of the Danone company Isaac Carasso, selected the best farms located between the hills of Avinyonet del Penedès and Mont-roig, in the Catalan regions of Alt Penedès and Baix Camp, respectively, south of Barcelona.

Those from olive fields are currently producing one of the most renowned extra virgin olive oils in the world.

A human team dedicated to producing the best oil

"When I received the order from Mauricio and Carlota, I accepted the challenge because I knew that we had the best olive groves and one of the most technologically advanced oil mills in the world," says Paolo Miceli, who was incorporated in 2013 as CEO of La Gramanosa. for his experience in business management, to achieve the goal of producing the best extra virgin olive oil in the world.

“My first task was to create a great human team, for this I invited Duccio Morozzo to the farm, internationally recognized as an advisor in the olive and oil sector. The first time he visited the farm, he fell in love with the project and saw its potential, committing himself to the company ever since to achieve the objectives set by the property”.
